The According to Beat aspect in Beat Em Up


The reason that I want to try incorporate the aspect of enemies following beat to this beat em up game is because I did not see much game outside using these mechanics, as most of them are fast paced beat em up but there is one game that I have seen which uses beat and rythms to tie to enemy movement  so this Idea came into my mind. As someone who has learnt music I can see it as a tool which can be used in games good music and rythms can make the player more enjoyable during their playtime, so I tried to combine the Rythm and Enemy attack together so the player can use the music and beat as a sync to help beat the game.


This Time I added progression of a platformer and the difficultly is added to scale according to platformer games and some aspects of platformer are also incorporated, and I also made a new type of enemy which attacks with a different variation from the first enemy and it is distinguishable from its colour, I did rework the level 2 to let player make use of the jump key of the game and which is written in the instruction. and also to find out the timing the enemy should I used OSU to catch the beat and did calculations to the seconds according to the song's BPM (Beat Per Minute)



For this update I added an integerity system to serve as an survival meter as a survival aspect for the game it is not the core gameplay as it is optional to ensure the data integrity stays intact to gain more higher score compared to just defeating enemy.
